Mjölnir is materially documented

Hammer-shaped pendants connected with Thor survive archaeologically. The broad connection is well supported; the exact intention of every wearer is not recoverable. A personal theme of protection is therefore presented as an interpretation informed by Thor's protective role.

Runes are writing first

Runes formed writing systems used for inscriptions. Rune names and poem traditions can support narrow glosses, but they do not establish a universal set of magical personality meanings.

“Viking compass” claims need caution

Popular signs such as Vegvísir come from much later Icelandic manuscript traditions, not the Viking Age. They can belong in a future modern-Icelandic collection, but not be relabelled here as ancient Viking proof.

Choose a design with context

Ask what is documented, what is inferred, what is modern, and what you are intentionally adding. That four-part answer is often more meaningful than a one-word myth.
